Angkailongdi Football Club, Senapati hold Taphou Football Club after a day break due to ground maintenance as South Changoubung Youth Club and Kangpokpi Youth Union won their respective matches in the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy 2022 at Brig M Thomas Ground Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The group C encounter in Wednesday’s first match between Angkailongdi Football Club and Taphou Football Club ended in a 2-2 draw.
Lunminthang in the 7th minute, and Sehthang in the 60th minute scored for the Taphou side while Lungdoubai in the 11th and 27th minute scored for the Senapati side.
The second match between South Changoubung Youth Club and LS Academy from group D ended in a walkover in favour of South Changoubung Youth Club as the LS Academy failed to turn up for the match.
Kangpokpi Youth Union had an easy 4-0 win over Hintwi Football Club in a group A encounter in the third match.
Letminlun in the 34th minute, Zanggoulen in the 43rd minute and 63rd minute, and Hengunmang in the 50th minute scored for KYU.
On Thursday, Haipi Youth Athletics will clash with TYPOM Maohing in the first match and FC Gorkha 11 Manipur will play Kuki Football Academy in the second match while Eimi Students' Fellowship, Maram will take on Satkhohen and Sumkhomang Memorial Team in the third match.
