Riverlane Youth Club edges out Purum Tampak SC by a solitary goal to enter the final of the DC Chandel Trophy 2021 organised by DSA Chandel at Sports Complex.

In the second semi final, Lambung YCC got the better of Tampi FC by a solitary goal as well to book their final berth. The final match between Riverlane YC and Lambung YCC will be played tomorrow at 1 pm.

Purum Tampak played their hearts out as compared to Riverlane who adopted a cautious move, waiting for loose ends. Riverlane YC seized the moment in the 29th minute when a lofted shot landed to WL Gladson and making his way through, he scored to bring up the lone goal. Riverlane manned their defence well as to some stiff challenges from Purum Tampak for the victory.

Three Purum Tampak players Malchung, Chongpu, Franky and Riverlane player HL Thumbertson got yellow cards from referee Atlee.

The second semi final saw Lambung YCC leaving no stone unturned as they landed flurry of attacks and got fruitful in the 24th minute of the game when Shelpa slotted home an easy goal, much to the dismay of its opponent.

The second half witnessed more aggressive play from the teams but no goal came forth except players were booked and given the marching order. Tampi player Behmansing was shown the red card by referee Th.Joysing while teammate Phungtha got a yellow card. Lambung players Ningthangam, Thalpingam, Marshingam were also yellow carded in the match.
