RCA Lilong, KCC Kongba win in 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament

RCA Lilong beat YUCC Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 16 runs to collect their first point in the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2021-22 played at Model Higher Secondary School and Oriental College Ground, Imphal West.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, RCA Lilong made a modest 174 runs for 10 wickets from 36.5 overs with Syed Hussian making a well deserved half century of 53 runs from 63 balls while Imran Khan and Md Iliyas Khan got 28 runs each.
YUCC bowlers Kh Punshiba claimed 4 wickets for 19 runs from 8 overs while Kadamjit got 3 wickets for 34 runs.
In reply, YUCC team middle order batsman N Sanjit effort of 62 runs from 82 balls goes in vain as his team crashed out for 158 runs for 10 wickets from 35.1 overs. Thoiba N contributed 13 runs. RCA bowlers Naesh Hussian, WM Rajak claimed 2 wickets each while Aziz Mirza, BM Sabakhan, Afzal Khan picked up 1 wicket each. RCA batsman Syed Hussian was declared the Man of the Match for his 53 runs knock.
In the other match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, KCC Kongba registered their second win beating Muvanlai, New Lambulane by 5 wickets.
The Muvanlai batsman failed to create stability in their partnership stand as middle order batsman Khaithotinlal Haokip was left lurking in the crease with an unbeaten 48 runs to put up 141 runs for 9 wickets from 40 overs. Seiboi Vaiphei got 14 runs.
KCC bowlers H Boyai and Sandeep Kumar bagged 2 wickets each while Ozzy, Sanjit Sharma, Rohen, Tony Singh and Chumthoa DK fetched 1 wicket each.
Chasing the total, KCC reached the target easily with K Mranojit Singh hitting 51 runs and N Dijaraj scoring 34 runs to suprased the score in 29.1 overs for 5 wickets. N Arbin contributed 23 runs. Muvanlai bowler Khaikhotinlal Haokip grabbed 2 wickets. KCC batsman K Mranojit Singh was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 51 runs.
