Manipur scored over Arunachal Pradesh by 3-0 goals to enter the semi final of Women's Football of the North East Regional Sports Week 2022 played at SAI NERC Turf Ground, Takyel.

It was an easy victory for the host team Manipur as they controlled the game with an early goal from Sultana in the 14th minute of play for the lead in the first half.

With Arunachal Pradesh offering little resistance to the host team, Manipur put further pressure in the second half play, and it was the sheer brilliance of S Rinaroy who pumped home the second goal in 72nd minute and later Ksh Naocha brought up the winning goal in 75th minute for the resounding victory, en-route to the semi final.

Manipur player M Mandakini and Arunachal Pradesh player Tamchi Soram got booked with a yellow card in the match from referee N Amarjit for dangerous play.

In the other matches, Sikkim beat Tripura by 4-1 goals. Suju Hangma scored two goals while Laxmi and Lakho Phuti fetched a goal each for Sikkim. The lone goal for Tripura was scored by Dhanita Reang.

Nagaland drubbed Mizoram by 4-0 goals with Roni Deve scoring a hattrick while Khrolo-u chipped in with a goal for Nagaland team.

As for the Men's Football, Mizoram beat Sikkim by 3-0 goals while Arunachal Pradesh beat Tripura by 4-2 goals played at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak.

As for the Archery Recurve Men final, Manipur claimed the Gold medal while Assam took the Silver medal and Nagaland fetched the Bronze medal. In the Archery Recurve Women final, Assam grabbed the Gold medal while Manipur claimed the Silver medal and Nagaland took the Bronze medal.

In the Boxing event, six Manipur boxers, four boxers each from Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and three from Mizoram have progressed into the semi final round, which was held at Boxing Ring Khuman Lampak.

The Badminton event of the day witnessed Manipur claiming the Team Event title of the meet beating Arunachal Pradesh by 3-0 game played at MBA Indoor Hall at DM College Campus.

The Men's Single was claimed by M.Meiraba Luwang of Manipur beating Las Talar of Arunachal Pradesh by 21-11 and 21-10 points while the Women's Single was bagged by Ksh.Maheshwari Devi beating Laa Yayum by 21-11 and 21-18 points.

The Men's Double event was claimed by K.Dingku and his partner Kh Manjit of Manipur beating Charu Jagi and Laa Talar of Arunachal Pradesh by 21-14 and 21-8 points.
