NEOG 2022: Bunty Chongtham wins gold in single women’s Tennis

Bunty Chongtham of Manipur won the goal in a super tie break against Namrata Das of Assam by scoring 3-6, 6-4,10-7.

Bunty Chongtham of Manipur won gold in the Single Women’s Lawn Tennis at the 2nd North East Olympic Games, 2022 held at Shillong, Meghalaya.

Bunty Chongtham won the goal in a super tie break against Namrata Das of Assam by scoring 3-6, 6-4,10-7.

Bunty entered the final match by beating Eva Raj Sah of Assam 6-4, 6-1 while Namrata Das of Assam also entered the final match by beating Justina Borgohain of Assam 6-3, 6-3.

The 2nd North East Olympic games started from November 10 and will end on November 16. Eight states of the region including Assam; Manipur; Arunachal Pradesh; Meghalaya; Mizoram; Nagaland; Tripura and Sikkim are competing against each other in different sports events.

In the total medal tally, Manipur with a total medal tally of 103 is leading however Assam has the highest gold medal with 41 followed by Manipur with 36 gold medals.
