The voters list of the association published by the MCoS includes names of only 296 members of the total 477 members of the association, said former vice-president of MMAA RK Sanahabi while speaking to the media at the office of MMAA at Kabo Leikai, Imphal East.

President in-charge of MMAA Ayung Tampakleima, whose name was also struck off from the voters list, said striking off the names of the master athletics that are in their advancing years from the voters list and adding some unfamiliar persons in the list is unfortunate.

“It is the ugly work of the registrar of MCoS taken up in vested interest of some individuals to tarnish the image of master athletics of the state,” she added.

Drawing the attention of the state government and the sports department to look into the matter and take up appropriate action, members of the association said they would take up the matter to the High Court if the MCoS fails to issue a new voters list of the association.
