KIYC Khetrigao beat DM Rao, Sekmai by 3-0 goals in the 14th Manipur State League 2021 sponsered by Kh.Joykishan Singh and organised by AMFA at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.
DM Rao team had no reply to the onslaught of KIYC attack as the latter jumped on every opportunity and got the breakthrough when Worchupei Kasung rattled the net in the 36 minute to take the lead in the first half.
DM Rao's team got pushed further to their own territory in the second half with Md.Imdaad Khan fetching the second goal in the 54 minute to boost their reign in the game.
Unclear whether to attack or defend their territory, DM Rao tried to regain lost ground but it worsened when a counter attack saw KIYC bang home the winning goal from S Kaphoi Singh in the 73 minute.
KIYC player T.Surjakanta and DM Rao player Jimson Ahanthem were booked with a yellow card in the game for rough play.
There will be no MSL matches tomorrow as the venue will be occupied by the opening of the 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2021-22 from 12.15 pm.
