Manipur Sangais will test their skills against Sikkim Pandas in the final of the 1st North East Women's Football League 2022 at SAI RC Turf Ground, Takyelpat Imphal West pm on Saturday at 2.30 pm.

The semi-final match between Manipur Sangais and Meghalaya Leopards saw, hectic tussle for the domination in the first half play, rendering it goalless.

However, Manipur Sangais unfurled their wings in the second half with I Prameshowri Devi ruffling the net in the 51st minute and later on went on to fetch her second goal in the 69th minute as well. N Ratanbala Devi goal in the 61st minute and S Rinaroy Devi in the 72nd minute sealed the fate of Meghalaya Leopards, en -route to the final.

The second semi-final undoubtedly belongs to Sikkim Pandas as they thrashed Arunachal Pradesh Tigers by 3-0 goals with ease. Naocha gave the lead for Sikkim Pandas in the 34rd minute to take control of the game. Though AP Tigers did fight back in the second half, Sikkim Pandas took a further leap when Naocha struck again in the 69th minute and later Sujana Rai wrapped up the match with the third goal in the 70th minute for the victory.

Sikkim Pandas players Naocha, Sujana Rai and Arunachal Pradesh Tigers players Ph Ashila and Tamchi Soram got yellow cards in the match for reckless fouls.

The final match between Manipur Sangais and Sikkim Pandas will be graced by Wangkhei Legislator Th Arunkumar Singh, Kshetrigao legislator, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Anantpura Sports Events Pvt Ltd, Chairman Amin Pathan and AMFA president, M Ratankumar Singh.
