KSC Kangpokpi drubbed ASSA Thoubal by 9-0 goals in the 25th Th Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winner's Cup for Men 2021-22 played at the former home ground at Sapermeina.
KSC, playing before their home crowd, enjoyed the game as they bombarded ASSA territory without any let up from the start. Ginminthang Hangsing struck the opening goal for KSC in 6 minute of play and later in the added time of first half, Solomon Mangte pushed home the second goal for the lead.
ASSA, who seemed to be falling apart in their game, got shocked when KSC added seven more goals in the second half, giving little chance for the former to make a comeback. Solomon Gangte went on to fetch four more goals while H Robinson, Haokholen Kipgen and Ginminthang Hangsing fetched one goal each for the huge wins.
