KSC Kangpokpi lifts champion title of 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Memorial Football

The Champion title of the 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2021-22 was played at Artificial Turf, SAI NERC Sports Complex, Takyel.

Kuki Sporting Club, Kangpokpi got the better of Classic Football Academy, Chingmeirong by a solitary goal to lift the Champion title of the 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2021-22 played at Artificial Turf, SAI NERC Sports Complex, Takyel.

It was a cool headed game for the teams as they waited for the opportune moment to strike, without taking any major risk or injury as major tournaments including CC Meet are just round the corner.
The KSC team who had a flawless run in the tournament continued with their good form taking against the young Classic FA boys, who had improved tremendously in their performance with every passing game.

But the day belonged to KSC Kangpokpi as they dazzled with their short accurate passes to snake in their opponent territory in 24 minute with Ginminthang, making the all important connection to the goal to take the lead.

The Classic FA put out all their efforts in the remaining minute of the game but KSC had guarded their fort well till the end for the victory. KSC player Gingkholen and Classic FA player Bijeshwar Sh got yellow cards from referee Kh. Ranjit Singh for dangerous tackles.

KSC Kangpokpi got richer by Rs 3 lakhs along with the trophy while Classic FA collected Rs 2 lakhs along with Runners trophy. DGP Manipur, Paotinmang Doungel, IPS distributed the prizes to the teams.
The tournament which was organized by Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF saw Jetlee Soraisam of Classic FA walking away with the Best Goalkeeper title while P. Naoba of ESU Wangkhei collects the Top Scorer title with 10 goals, Ginminthang Hangsing of KSC Kangpokpi with Man of the Final Match and Lunkhominlen Mang J of KSC Kangpokpi with Best Player title, which carries a prize money of Rs 10,000 each.
