KLASA Keinou upset TRAU FC 1-0; Neroca FC beat YUFC 4-1

A late minute goal from Dhanachandra helps KLASA Keinou beat TRAU FC by a solitary goal in the 14th Manipur State League 2021 sponsored by Kh Joykishan Singh and played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

TRAU FC utilizing most of their inexperienced youngsters in the face of its senior team being engaged in Hero I-League, stayed put to show a brave face against the formidable KLASA team throughout the match.

However KLASA, known for its ever challenging pursuit of goal, found the target in the injury time of 90 plus 1 minute with Dhanachandra Singh slicing home the winning goal off a goalmouth tussle for the win today. The win put KLASA Keinou on the top spot from Group A with 13 points from 6 matches.

KLASA players Kenedy, Lungminlen and TRAU FC player Seivanglen got yellow cards in the match for rough tackles from referee T Premjit.

In the other match, Neroca FC beat YUFC Ukhrul by 4-1 goals to collect a full point to enjoy second spot with 10 points from 6 matches from Group A.

The YUFC team looked positive in the beginning when Jullan Keishing came up with the opening goal in 8 minute of play. However Neroca FC had to dig hard for the equalizer as they got it in 45 plus 1 minute from Manglenthang to level 1-1 goals.

However Neroca FC took full control of the second half as they choose their strike with Md. Aruwas setting the tone in 62 minute and later L. Devid come up with the third goal in 73 minute and goalscorer Manglenthang wraps the game with his second goal in the 81 minute for the victory today.

Neroca FC player Shanta and YUFC player Yarmeipei got booked with yellow cards from referee Sh. Suresh.
