The first ever ‘Soul Winning’ Christos Women’s football tournament organised by Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong at Apollo ground Mini Stadium Tamenglong concluded on Friday.
In the final match of the tournament at Apollo ground Mini Stadium, Tamenglong, Kahulong Baptist Church (KBC) beat United Council of Chiuluan (UCC) by one goal.
Pastors, church elders, women society leaders attended the closing ceremony. Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong Associate, pastor reverend Ashing Panmei lowered the tournament flag and handed it over to the tournament chairman and declared the tournament closed.
Best goalkeeper was conferred to Diphiuliu Pamei of United Baptist Church Liangmai (UBC) while player of the tournament was given to Dimguangliu of Kahulong Baptist Church.
Christos women football chairman reverend Johnkim Pame thanked all the participants, donors, sponsors and District Sport Association Tamenglong. He also congratulated the champion team.
