Girls Hockey Tournament 2022: Thaimei Gaiganpou thrash Lao Radiant by 8 goals

Thaimei Gaiganpou English School, Bishnupur showed their superiority against Lao Radiant Higher Secondary School, Senapati by 8-0 goals in the 28th Nehru Junior (U-17) Girls State Level Hockey Tournament 2022 organised by YAS Manipur played at Hockey Stadium Khuman Lampak.

K Aleena led the charge for Thaimei Gaiganpou as she struck three goals while K Reena scored two goals and Th Dainali, A Bemsana, L Ritu chip in with a goal each for the thumping victory.

The hallmarks of the Thaimei Giganpou team is that they struck two goals each in every quarter of the game, to show their supremacy in the match.

In the other matches, Young Pioneer's School, Imphal East beat Rk Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Jiribam by 4-1 goals.

H Bidyaluxmi fetched two goals while H Silky and T Reenu scored a goal each for Young Pioneer's team. The lone goal for Rk Sanatombi was fetched by Th Anjali.

Unacco School, Imphal West continued their good run thrashing Lao Radiant Higher Secondary School, Senapati by 12-0 goals with the former having a scoring spree in each quarters.

Young Pioneer's School, Imphal East overcame Brilliant Academy Melaground, Thoubal by 5-2 goals.
