The first YSSU Trophy 2023, organised by the Young Star Sporting Union, Keikhu (YSSU) on the theme “Health is wealth and let's be free from drugs”, concluded at YSSU ground on Sunday. Altogether, 36 teams played in the tournament.

Attending the event, Kshetrigao MLA, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, advised the players to play with discipline as players who lack discipline will not be able to achieve their goal.

Mentioning CM N Biren Singh’s War on Drugs 2.0, he said that clubs, masjid committees and localities should take major roles in making Kshetrigao a drug-free zone. He further added that he will take up necessary steps to build rehabilitation centres for drug addicts in Kshetrigao. 

He also warned the people to stop drug business for a better society and to save the youths. He appealed to those in the business to look for an alternative source of income.

Islamic Sporting Association Kiyamgei bagged the winner title for the tournament. The MLA handed a cash prize of Rupees 10,000 and a trophy to the winning team. 

Besides the MLA, Founder of Hafiz Brighter Academy, Alhaj Muhibullah; S.M.O. PHC Lilong Alhaj, Dr. Rakibuddin Ahmed Shah; Alhaj Abdul Quddush postal Account, Govt.of India and YSSU president Samirul Haque attended the event as presidium members.
