ESU Wangkhei, NCA Ningthoukhong register win in Rajningthou Memorial Cricket

ESU bowler Abinash claimed 2 wickets while Donba, Jenit, Naoba and Bishomcha fetch 1 wicket each.

ESU Wangkhei beat SHADOW Thangmeiband by 6 wickets in the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 played at YCWO Ground, Heinoupok.

After being sent into bat first, SHADOW batsman failed to ignite the sparks as they were bundled out for 48 runs for 10 wickets from 21.1 overs. None of the batsmen failed to cross the double figure with Lanchenba making 9 runs.

ESU bowler Abinash claimed 2 wickets while Donba, Jenit, Naoba and Bishomcha fetch 1 wicket each.

ESU batsman struggles in the start but Abinash with 11 runs, Ronal with 10 runs and Bishomcha making 13 runs clears the target in 9.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. SHADOW bowler Lanchenba claimed 2 wickets while Reolin and Washington took 1 wickets each. ESU player Abinash got the Man of the Match award for his 11 runs and 2 wickets.

As for the other match played at ABA Ground, Khetrigao, NCA Ningthoukhong pulled off 8 wickets win over Model Club, Chingamakha.

Model Club posted 99 runs for 10 wickets from 29.5 overs with Biyon Naorem topscoring with 25 runs while Suraj made 13 runs. NCA bowler P. Putin claimed 3 wickets while Th. Sunil got 2 wickets.

In reply, NCA Ningthoukhong reached the target in 11.2 overs for the loss of 2 wickets with N. Sidarth hitting an unbeaten 70 runs from 44 balls A. Sohan too remained not out with 13 runs for the victory. Model bowler Md. Rijayuddin and Prithiraj Th fetch 1 wicket each. NCA bowler P. Putin Singh was declared the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets haul.
