Dayanand Th claims U-15 Boys title in Rapid Chess Tournament 2023

Dayanand Thoudam finished with 20 points of the day while Brainson Haobam got the second place with 14 and half points in the 1st One Day Rapid Chess Tournament 2023.

Dayanand Thoudam emerged champion of the U-15 Boys in the 1st One Day Rapid Chess Tournament 2023 organised by D Chess Academy, sponsored by Parents of Chess Players held at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai, Imphal West.

Fifty players in the age group of Under 15 to Under 7 participated in the tournament. Tourangbam Indrajit Singh, Councilor IMC graced the opening function.

Dayanand finished with 20 points of the day while Brainson Haobam got the second place with 14 and half points.

As for the U-15 Girls category, Bidyapati Moirangthem got the first place with 16 and half points while Lanchenbee Ngairangbam took the second spot with 16 points. In the U-13 Boys, Kh Nowboy got the first place with 19 points and Khuman Einstein Maibam settled for second place with 17 points.

Nadia Sougaijam claimed first place with 21 points in the U-13 category while Th.Karuna took second place with 15 and half points. Lemba Sougaijam took the U-11 Boys title with 19 and half points while Siddarth Sanglakpam fetched the second spot with 19 points. Th.Preeti claimed the U-11 Girls title with 11 and half points.

The U-9 Boys title was bagged by Mangal Elangbam with 17 and half points while Lingjelleima Th claimed the Girls title with 13 points.
