The (L) T Khaikhanlian Churachandpur District 1st Division League 2022 kicked off on Friday at Hiangtam Lamka Public Ground, hosted by the Churachandpur District Sports Association where 17 teams from the district will fight for the trophy and promotion in the league.
The Churachandpur District 1st Division League 2022 was kicked off by the OC of Churachandpur PS, Inspector Ingocha Nongthombam, in the presence of the CDSA officials, who also inspected the player prior to the inaugural match between Tuibuang Area Youth Club and Simveng Football Club.
Two matches were played where, in the first match, the much superior TAYC convincingly blanked SFC 5-0, scored by 5 players showing their individual skills. In the second match between Koite Youth Union and M Songgel Youth Club, the latter showed their superiority with a score of 4-0.
The 1st Division league will be played in two pools, with seven teams each, with the pool winners playing the final of the tournament and, irrespective of win or loss, will be promoted to the District Super league while 4 teams will be relegated to second division.
