Blue Hawk Khurai flew off with a 3 wickets win over Champ Khagempalli through DLS Method in the 6th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Cricket Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Champ Khagempalli after some hard hitting effort from the tailenders, put up a total of 176 runs for 10 wickets from 37.5 overs. However, bad weather interrupted the match, reducing the target for Blue Hawk to 101 runs from 17 overs.
Earlier in the day, Champ top order batsman failed to get proper connection but Nitish Sedai managed to get 32 runs from 42 balls and later a fine knock from tailenders M Thomas who cracked 51 runs from 56 ball, Th Nicolson got 29 runs and Md Ahsanul Kabir remain not out with 33 runs, bring up a respectable total of 176 runs.
Blue Hawk bowlers Jitendra Bishan Thakur claimed 4 wickets for 22 runs from 8 overs while N Jackiechan and Sunil Salam picked up 2 wickets each.
As luck would have it, bad weather interrupted the Blue Hawk innings, to re-work a new target under Duckworth Lewis Method, to make 101 runs from 17 overs. Middle order batsman A Guniram stood his ground to smash an unbeaten 35 runs from 30 balls while Sanatomba made 16 runs, to reach the target in 17 overs losing 7 wickets in the process.
Champ bowler S Shankar bagged 3 wickets for 19 runs while Th Nicolson got 2 wickets, Md Ahsanul Kabir and M Thomas took 1 wicket each.
Blue Hawk bowler Jitendra Bishan Thakur was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets haul and 5 runs.
