Angtha FC claimed the Champion title of the Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division League 2022 organised by Ad-hoc Committee of IEDFA at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the league match, Angtha FC outplayed ABA Kshetrigao by 7-2 goals to lay their hand on the champion title. S Kaphoi, Somokanta Singh, Surjakanta Singh scored two goals each while Kaisi fetched one goal for Angtha team. As for ABA, Somokanta and Singtis Kom got a goal each.
Angtha FC finished the league with 19 points from six wins and a drawn game for the top spot while XI Star Sporting Union, Akhampat also got 19 points from six wins and one drawn match, for the second spot. However, Angtha FC got the edge over XI Star Sporting Union with better goal aggregates as they got 22 goals difference as against XI Star of 15 goals.
UPAA Kiyamgei took the third spot with 8 points while ABA Kshetrigao also got 8 points, ESU Wangkhei with 7 points, PYA Kairang with 7 points, SAK Yumnam Khunou with 5 points and SSC Porompat with 1 points.
The last league match also witnessed UPAA Kiyamgei making a late minute surge to better its position, beating SAK Yumnam Khunou by 3-1 goals.
