The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) will be constituting an Adhoc Committee to oversee the transfer/loan of players and formation of Executive Council Members of Imphal East district Football Association at the earliest.
This was announced by competition director AMFA H Meghachandra while speaking to reporters on the development at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong on Tuesday evening.
Meghachandra said, during an emergent meeting of AMFA held this morning, the executive council has decided to form an Adhoc Committee to oversee the election of office bearers and Executive Council Member and to complete the formalities within a time of three months.
The AMFA who placed the functioning of Imphal East District Football Association under suspension for flouting football Constitutional norms, have already constituted an 11-member Committee to undertake the transfer/loan of players, which will begin from Wednesday.
The Committee is headed by DB Konwar as chairman while H Meghachandra as convenor along with nine members.
He further said, acting on RTI output submitted by two individual to AMFA, it has come to light there has been no official record on the names of list of IEDFA Clubs, Registration Certificates of IEDFA, Managing Committee or Office Bearers, election proceedings records whatsoever with record keeper of Registrar of Co-Operative Societies.
The two individuals, Th Ibotombi Singh and Th Jiten Singh had filed a Right to Information (RTI), seeking records of IEDFA for the last 15 years to the Registrar of Societies, but it was replied in negative that no records are available. However, only rules and regulation of IEDFA was furnished from the Society.
As IEFDA is affiliated to AMFA and sworn by its Constitution, it has come to utmost importance that due norms of running the office and election of office bearers are done in the better interest of the football players, and the AMFA will making its office good use in electing office bearers and executive council to restore a peaceful football atmosphere in the district, he added.
