6th MNCA Elite Tournament: Blue Hawk crafts third win, beats WYC by 10 runs

Blue Hawk are playing their fourth matches in the tournament winning three and lost one game while WYC Wangkhem had lost all three matches they have played so far.

Blue Hawk, Khurai register their third win beating WYC Thoubal Wangkhem by 10 runs in the 6th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 which got resumed at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Blue Hawk are playing their fourth matches in the tournament winning three and lost one game while WYC Wangkhem had lost all three matches they have played so far.

Opting to bat first, Blue Hawk had a mediocre performance as their middle order batsman failed to soar high except for the opener Beckar Roy who got 17 runs and Santomba fetched 23 runs, to put up 92 runs for 10 wickets from 23.2 overs. W. Samson made 13 runs while N. Jackson managed 14 runs.

WYC bowler W Laksmon was the pick among the lot as he claimed 5 wickets for 22 runs from 8 overs while H. Biteshwor bagged 4 wickets and K. James got 1 wicket.

Chasing the target, WYC opener W Shamungou effort of 20 runs goes in vain as most of their batsmen failed to cross the double figure mark. Priyobrata M took his stand briefly but got 22 runs while W Laksmon remained not out with 12 runs, to manage 82 runs for 10 wickets from 27.4 overs.

Blue Hawk leg break bowler Gautam Soubam was the most economical bowler claiming 6 wickets for 9 runs from 4.4 overs while Sunil and Pritam got 1 wickets each. Later Gautam Soubam was adjudged Man of the Match for his 6 wickets haul
