Muvanlai Athletics, Kangpokpi moves into the quarter final in an electrifying ways beating LYCC Chandel by 19-0 goals in the 63rd Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2021-22 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Muvanlai Athletics needing a win for the berth in the last eight stages of the tournament, showed their attacking prowess against the Chandel outfit, right from three minute of the game with Zamlunnang fetching the opening goal, opening the floodgates of goals.

The LYCC Chandel team who is reeling in the bottom of table from Group E with 3 points, from 3 matches, seems at loss whether to attack or defend its territory as Muvanlai Athletics was unflinching in their onslaught.

Muvanlai Athletics player Robert scored nine goals, which is highest in the ongoing tournament, while Haotinsem fetched five goals, Lunjapao got two goals, Touthang and Kh Bidyachandra  picked up one goal each for the mammoth victory.

Muvanlai Athletics, Kangpokpi player Paobilen got a yellow card from referee Rk.Angousana for reckless play.

In another match, WAFA Wangoi beat KYVO Kwasiphai by 2-1 goals to collect full but it was of little use as only one top team will qualify for the quarter final.

KYVO gave the advantage to the WAFA team as N.Nanao conceded an own goal in 26 minute of play. Working their way in the game, KYVO gets the equaliser from T Surjakanta in 49 minute but little later WAFA got the leading goal from H Rakesh in 57 minute for the win. Three players each from the teams got yellow cards for rough tackles.  

From Group E, Muvanlai  Athletics emerged on top with 8 points while WAFA finished with 7 points, KRFC with 6 points, KYVO with 4 points and LYCC with 3 points from four matches.
