1st North East Women's Football Tournament 2022: Manipur Sangais register fourth win
Meghalaya Leopards will clash with Mizoram Black Bears in the first match while Assam Rhinos will meet Sikkim Pandas in the second match on Friday.

Manipur Sangais posted their fourth victory thrashing Tripura Pythons by 7-0 goals in the 1st North East Women's Football Tournament 2022 played at SAI NERC Turf Ground at Takyelpat, Imphal West.
This is the host team's fourth victory and they have drawn one game to stay on par with 13 points for the top spot along with Sikkim Pandas. Tripura have garnered just 1 point from drawn games and lost three games.
Manipur Sangais enjoyed the limelight from the first whistle as they pumped home five goals in the first half itself with Y Kiranbala opening the goal account in the 9th minute and added another in the 31st minute. Later, I Prameswari in the 15th, S Rinaroy in the 28th and A Roja in the 40 plus 2nd minute scored to lead 5-0 goals.
Tripura Pythons take a backseat as their energy level drops down and misdirects several kicks to throw themselves into further troubles. Manipur Sangais kept their composure intact and it was A Roja who came up with the sixth goal in the 77th minute and later Y Priyanka wrapped up the match with the seventh goal in the 80th plus 1st minute for the comfortable victory.
The second match saw Nagaland Wild Hogs get the better of Arunachal Pradesh Tigers by 2-1 goals. With the win, Nagaland have collected 6 points from two win and two lost games while AP Tigers have 9 points from three win and one lost match.
For Nagaland Wild Hogs, Nirmala and M Paundo scored a goal each while the lone goal for AP Tigers came from Yuplam Lali.
In Saturday's matches, Meghalaya Leopards will clash with Mizoram Black Bears in the first match while Assam Rhinos will meet Sikkim Pandas in the second match.
