18 medallists of ‘Chainaba MFL-5' feted

The team of medallists, including one 18-year-old girl from Churachandpur were led by K Dalchinkhup to participate in the National Championship ‘Chainaba MFL-5 (The Cage Fight)’ at Nongmeibung Multipurpose Hall in Imphal East.

As many as 18 medallists of the National Championship ‘Chainaba MFL-5' (the cage fight) held at Nongmeibung Multipurpose Hall in Imphal East, were felicitated by Lamka Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Club, Lailamveng Churachandpur on Wednesday.

The team of medallists, including one 18-year-old girl from Churachandpur were led by K Dalchinkhup to participate in the National Championship ‘Chainaba MFL-5 (The Cage Fight)’ at Nongmeibung Multipurpose Hall in Imphal East. All the members of the team won medals, including 8 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze.

It can be recalled that players of Lamka Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Club, Lailamveng Churachandpur had won many medals at such national championships held at Mumbai, Delhi.

A felicitation function was held at the club’s gym, in which Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP-Paite Student Welfare Association) president H Thanglalmuan attended as the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, H Thanglalmuan commended the club owner for his contributions and initiatives, and encouraged the medalist for more success.

During the occasion, Rev Khamkholun delivered an encouraging message to the medallists and prayed to God showing gratitude for their success and future endeavours. He cautioned the medallists of falling into the traps of drugs and addictions which had claimed the lives and futures of many artists and sportspersons, and advised the youths to use their skills for the wellbeing of others rather than to hurt others.
