The Vovinam Association of Manipur is fielding 18 players in the 12th National Vovinam Championship which will get underway Wednesday evening at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati and will continue till August 26, 2023.
In the Sub-Junior Female Fight, L Dimple in 36 kg, T Sanathoi in 40 kg, W Lakshmi in 52 kg, M Renubala in 48 kg, M Sanathoi in 44 kg while the Junior category are B Nishita in 48 kg, S Beuly Chanu in 52 kg, N Holina in 60 kg, T Sunaj Singh in 73 kg.
As for the Senior Girls, the players are Ng Nakini Gloria in 40 kg, M Leyenda in 48 kg, Kh Rushina in 44 kg, L Pusparani in 52 kg, S Lanchenbi Devi in 60 kg while in the Senior Boys are Th Somorjit in 70 kg and L Regan in 54 kg.
In the Forms & Events are B Nishita Devi in Long Ho Quyen (Junior), L Pushpa Devi in Long Ho Quyen (Senior), L Regan Singh in Thap Tha Quyen, L Puspa and L Regan in Tu Ve Nu (Women Self Defence).
The team will be accompanied by M Narjit Singh as Team Manager while H Hema Devi as the Female Coach and Ch Mahadeva as Male Coach of the team. The team left for Guwahati on Wednesday from Imphal International Airport, Malom Tulihal.
