Traffic regulations to be enforced on Bor Pujah day

Traffic regulation and parking lots shall be enforced and maintained in order to ensure safety and convenience of the devotees and general public on the day of ‘Bor Pujah’ of Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple, Hiyangthang to be held on October 6.
A statement said that no motor vehicles including cycles, rickshaws etc, except the vehicles belonging to VIPs, ambulances, Fire- brigades, security personnel and magistrates on duty shall be allowed to proceed beyond certain points from 2 a.m. of October 6 till the Bor Puja is over. The points where the restriction will be imposed are Phuramakhong and Tarahei Konjil point on Mayang Imphal Road, Hiyangthang Kangjeibung from Ningombam Mekola Hiyangthang Road, Kamakhya Pemton College Ground from Irom Meijrao Road and Samurou Ground Mayang Imphal Side, it said.
However, light mother vehicles/two wheelers/auto-rickshaws/cycle rickshaws coming from Tiddim road and willing to proceed up to Hiyangthang Kangjeibung via Nambol, Mekola, Ningombam, Kodompokpi Lamkhai and Malom shall be allowed, it further said.
All motor vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side and willing to proceed up to Imphal shall be diverted towards Haoreibi along Imphal river bank, it stated. All motor vehicles coming from Imphal towards Hiyangthang shall be diverted towards Ningombam side from Phuramakhong, it added.
The parking lots shall be maintained by the designated local clubs organisation on the day of Bor Puja; vehicles coming from Imphal should be parked at YUC ground Phuramakhong, Nambul Mapal and SRDC ground, Langthabal Lep Makha Leikai and it will be maintained by Young Union Club, Phuramakhong Nambul Mapal and Social Reformation and Drvelopment Club(SRDC) respectively, it said.
Further it said, vehicles coming from Canchipur should be parked at L.P School Madrassa (Tarahei Konjil) and it will be maintained by Tarahei Konjil Muhamadan Social Youth Club, Hiyangthang while Vehicles coming from Tiddim road via Mekola and Ningombam should be parked at Hiyangthang Kangjeibung ground.
Vehicles coming from Irom Meijrao and Nambol should be parked at Pemton College ground and it will be maintained by Meijrao Lakpa Dev club, Irom Meijrao, it further informed.
Vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal will be parked at Samurou ground and it will be maintained by New Young Sporting Club, Samurou while vehicles coming from Lilong Cancipur should be parked at TYDC ground and it will be maintained by Takhellambam youth Dev Club, Takhellambam Konjil. Vehicles coming from Haoreibi Karam should be parked at Chandrandi point, it added.
