Child helpline launched for children from poor familiesIMPHAL| Sep 15
A child helpline called HHP CHILD HELPLINE was launched by Helping Hands for People (HHP), Manipur today at the auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Blood Bank today.
Speaking to media on the sidelines of the function, medical superintendent, JNIMS, Dr. N. Jitendra said that HHP Child Helpline was launched by HHP to help children who belong to impoverished and under-privileged families, and suffering from various life threatening diseases.
“It is a good initiative of HHP. We should encourage them as helping someone in distress is a priceless job,” he said.
While informing about the service to be rendered by HHP Child Helpline, he said that under the project, one can get the enrolment service of various health schemes. It will also provide blood requirements and financial assistance, he said.
In order to select real beneficiaries, HHP will collect information and data from the hospital and will visit the patient’s house to verify their socio-economic condition, he added.
He further said that the contact numbers of this helpline service are 8014330824 and 7005615956. Those who want to give financial donation can contact the helpline number or deposit in the HELPLINE account. For blood donation, visit JNIMS blood bank and donate blood in the HHP CHILD HELPLINE account, he said.
He appealed the people of the State to extend their support and co-operation for the human service taken up by HHP Manipur.
