Six Rohingyas from Myanmar arrested at Imphal airportIMPHAL | Aug 11
A team of Imphal east police on august 10 arrested six illegal immigrants with fake Aadhaar cards at Imphal airport. The arrested persons later admitted to be natives of Myanmar.
After interrogation, the identities of the six individuals have been revealed as Yarzarlin ,27, son of Aung niwat of Kunblu, Mandalay, Min Min Oo,29, son of Win Tin of Myeik Mayanmar, Soe Ko Ko, 23, son of Kyaw Ko Ko of Myeik Myanma, Moe Sat Naing ,27, son of Hasi alias Khai maung Myint of Pyinmanar, Myanmar, Nyi Nyi Soe ,25, son of Uchien of Myeik, Taninrharyi Myanmar and Zaw Min Than, 24, son of Oo Tin Than of Yangoon, Myanmar.
Briefing media today at the conference hall of superintendent of police Imphal west, DIG Range 1, Themthing Ngashangva said, it has been revealed that they received some form of training at Madrasas in Delhi as well as other parts of the country before they were sent to Manipur.
Their documents including their Aadhaar cards were arranged by some agents including from Manipur.
Themthing also stated that Foreigner Check Post, Imphal Airport and a team of Imphal West district were alerted after an early morning input was received on August 10 that some illegal immigrants would be coming from Delhi to Imphal by indigo flight.
Later at about 9.20 in the morning, a Foreign Check Post team led by inspector, Th.Gojen Singh detained six suspected passengers for verification. Only one detained individuals among the six could communicate with Hindi while the rest could speak only Urdu, he added.
As per the Aadhaar cards possessed by them, it was also found that three out of six persons were having their address in Manipur while the remaining three had their addressed located at Hyderabad. Later, inspector, Gojen Singh submitted a report to OC Singjamei for proper verification and during the course of enquiry, six of them were not able to give proper statement on their origin, purpose of visit, destinations, he said.
The enquiry revealed the six persons are illegal immigrants entering the State by means of cheating and by using forged documents and they entered Manipur with the help of some agent who have criminal intentions, added Themthing. A case has been registered at Singjamei police and they were arrested at 2.30 pm in the evening. Their documents and belongings including their Aadhaar cards and plane tickets were seized, he added.
One ATM card marked as CB Bank VISA bearing card no. 4687 8530 0013 in the name of Hoe Myint Naing of yangon, Myanmar was recovered from the possession of one Sadik son of Husain of Bahadurpura, Hyderababd and one cash memo receipt of Myanmarese like language was also recovered from the possession of Karimullah son of Abdul Kareem from Bahadurpa Hyderabad, he further said.
Contrary to their real identities, the six individuals possessed Aadhaar cards belonging to Manipur. Based on the Aadhaar cards, the identities of the individuals were made as Mohammad Yusuf son of Mohammad Moosa of Govajang, Chandel, Abdul Qadir son of Mohammad Dawood of Yairipok Bamol leikai Chandgdamnabi, Huzaifa son of Abdul Gafer and Saik Son of Jusain of Bahadurpura, Hyderabad, Mohammad Saleh son of Mohammad Ali of Yairipok Bamol Leikai and Karimullah son of Abdul Kareem of Bahadura Hyderabad, he added.
