YOSC Khurai Konsam Leikai beat XI Star Sporting Union, Akhampat by 4-2 goals in Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament 2018-19 played at ABA Khetrigao ground, Imphal East.
YOSC team were unstoppable in the first half as they were leading by 3-0 goals but showed lack of stamina in the second half as XI Star pick up theirs strength in the second half to score two goals but ultimately the former regain theirs composure in nick of time to struck another goal for the victory.
Siluni bring cheers to YOSC bench when he slides home the opening goal in 2 minute of play and later on Ningron makes scoring looked easy as he came up with the second goal in 7 minute of play. Poised with the two goals, YOSC takes theirs time but Siluni strikes just before the first half whistle in the 45 minute to post 3-0 goals.
YOSC continued offensive play with Jiten Singh cracking home the fourth goal in the 51 minute to dictate terms in the game. With the huge goal margin, YOSC approach died down, providing loose end for XI Star and it was Th.Nilakanta Singh who struck the opening goal in 61 minute to bring up the opening goal.
Energised by the goal, XI Star put up more pressure and finally got theirs second goal from Ramesh in the 85 minute of play but could not score further in the match.
In another match, RAU Lairikyengbam Leikai beat SAK Yumnam Khunou by 3-1 goals. Sailesh, Kh.Jotin, W.Michael scored a goal each for RAU team while Dinamani fetch the lone goal for SAK team.
Imphal West First Division Football: WAFA Wangoi beat Pamyal Patsoi by 2-1 goals in the 26th L.Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2019 played at Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.
Md. Chaoba provided the early lead for Pamyal team in the 12 minute of play ringing a warning bell to its opponent in the first half. However Pamyal scoring zeal died down in the second half as WAFA pulled up theirs socks and strikes back in the 58 minute with Michael fetching the equaliser in the 58 minute and went on to pick up the winning goal in the 75 minute for the victory today.
WAFA player Ajit and Pamyal player Kh.Ranajit got a yellow card in the match. The second match between GC CRPF Langjing and SICO Lourembam Leikai ended in a goaless draw to share a point each.
