‘Nation building is not an easy task’

Lorho Pfoze, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Outer Parliamentary constituency of Manipur, said on Monday that nation building is not an easy task.
The Lok Sabha MP sought the responsibility of all to “uphold him, to support him, to pray for him, to work with him so that all can be a part of nation building”.
Lorho Pfoze said this in the felicitation programme organised by Mao Council at Tadubi Town Hall, Senapati.
Lorho Pfoze appealed all to put one’s strength, commitment, abilities, resources and ideas together in building a good nation to protect the land from fear, breakdown and from destruction. Lorho Pfoze further appealed all not to give room for the evil to control the people that can destroy them, “but to overcome from evil. “The presence of God is necessary in nation building,” he added.
Lorho S Pfoze praised God for “all the blessings” and also expressed his gratitude to all voters to voted for him to represent the people in the Parliament.
“God has created different communities and no one can destroy it,” said the new Lok Sabha MP. “God wants us to love each other, to give to other and to sow the seed of peace and mercy,” he added. “This is what the truth is all about,” he added.
Lorho assured to take the voice of the people to the Parliament.
The Mao Council, Mao Union of Senapati, Mao Naga Women Welfare Association, Mao Union of Kohima, Mao Union of Dimapur and the Mao Students Union feted the newly elected Member of Parliament with different presentations. Feast of merit shawl was also presented by the Mao Council on the day.
Tholi Kashipri, president of the Mao Naga Village Chiefs Association pronounced the traditional blessings at the beginning of the program. Rev. K. Koda, executive secretary of Mao Baptist Churches Association, took up the thanksgiving and consecration during the program where “ordained ministers” came and blessed the Member of Parliament.
Awangbou Newmai, MLA who is also the president of the Naga People’s Front, Manipur State Unit, Khashim Vashum, MLA, Leishiyo, MLA and Thisho Kriina, Dy. Chairman, ADC, Senapati brought felicitation messages during the program. Athili Sakhri, Member, ADC, R. Ashihrii, Member, ADC, David Khrasi, Member, ADC, Mao villages, and various organisations also participated in the programme.
