24 children provided free education by Salai holdingsIMPHAL | Mar 15
Salai Holdings Private Limited has sponsored 24 students to receive free education at Vocational Guide School, Sangaithel, Polangjing, Imphal West today.
The students were given free sponsorship under the educational sponsoring programme held today at Vocational Guide School, Sangaithel, Polangjing, Imphal West. It was organised under the theme ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world- Nelson Mandela’.
Speaking to media persons, a mother of a student expressed that her husband passed away recently in a road accident. Since then, she has been living with her daughter and facing many struggles including financial issues. After her husband departed, her daughter dropped out from the government primary school located near Sangaithel and stopped continuing her studies, she added.
She further said that due to shortages of both the students and teachers in government schools, no class were conducted. So, she let her daughter to drop out from studies.
The government may have taken necessary steps to promote education by implementing various schemes but no teachers are available in the said government school, she added.
She further expressed her happiness to the initiatives of Salai Holdings private limited for sponsoring free education at Vocational Guide School. The initiatives of Salai have brought a turning point in her family and they owe a great debt to Salai, she added.
Secretary of Salai Holding Private Limited, Narengbam Dhanapati said the initiatives for sponsoring free education to orphans or families which are facing financial troubles were taken under the instruction of chairman and managing director of Salai Holding Private Limited, Narengbam Samarjit.
She said the parents should pay attention to the sponsored students though Salai provide free education for the welfare of the student. The motives of Salai is to provide sponsorship for free education but if the parents failed to pay attention their children during studies, then the initiatives of Salai will be of no use, she added.
Dhanapati also said Salai has been sponsoring children hailing from families beolow poverty line including orphans and will continue till a change has been brought in the state.
