Official team from Nepal Embassy meets victims of trafficking at Moreh

Official from the Nepal Embassy in India arrived at Moreh today and personally interacted with the Nepali victims of trafficking who were rescued and have been lodged at Epamlamdam Ujjawala Home run by Centre for Development Activities.
The team from the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi comprised of second secretary, Om Kumar Bhandari; secretary (local), Sanil Chhetri and counsellor, Gakesh Adhikari; and they were accompanied deputy director, Social Welfare department of Manipur, N. Binobala and staff of Anti Human Trafficking along with SDPO, Moreh, Sandeep Gopaldas and ASP, Kh. Robinsun.
The officials from the Nepal Embassy enquired the Nepali women victims about their problems, illnesses and the food and lodging provided for them; and later, further discussions were held for those victims without proper documents (ID or Passports) in order to initiate formal processes to return them back to Nepal. While expressing their satisfaction for Epamlamdam Home for its services in providing satisfactory stay for the victims, the officials from the Nepal Embassy also assured that measures to return the victims to their respective homes and villages in Nepal will be initiated at the earliest.
