UNLF sends greetings on 32nd anniversary of MPA
IMPHAL | Feb 8
On the arrival of 32nd birth anniversary of Manipur People’s Army (MPA), the military wing of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF), its Military Affairs Committee (MAC) which is guiding force of the armed outfit, has sent its greetings to each of the communities settling together in Manipur.
A release signed by chairman, Military Affairs Committee, Khundongbam Pambei stated the strength to wage the war of freedom against the ‘Indian Occupation Force’ came as a fruit of the support and sincere participation by the communities. The organisation lauds the people and expressed its happiness for this, it said.
70 years back, the Western South East Asia (WESEA) region which had been named northeast was completely taken over by India, it said. Afterwards, the system of administration for the region went through a complete change ever since, it stated. The chance for the independent nations to join together and form a sovereign nation became lost as well, it added.
With the deliberate intentions of government of India to pass the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019, all the states of ‘WESEA’ including Manipur are on the verge of erupting into flames, it stated. The seeds of this development were planted 70 years back when India forcefully colonised WESEA and now, the people are living in paranoia as their very lives face an existential threat, it stated.
The release further stated that India considers the entire region as a threat because the indigenous roots are different, looks are different and there is racial difference. The region having its own unique characteristics and history, it was never a part of India’s history and it can never become a part of it; India knows this, it further said adding there are major apprehensions if the region will become separate to form an independent country of its own.
To avoid such circumstances, CAB was introduced with the agenda to completely swallow ‘WESEA’ and annihilate the communities settled in the region, it alleged. “With the developing scenario, questions are now raised if we should confront India or face our own extinction from the surface of earth,” the release further said. This calls for the people to take firm and united decisions to fight against such draconian policies of India, it stated.
It can be said that India government keeps a two sided agenda in northeast regarding CAB. Firstly, it is to bring an influx of illegal immigrants in the northeast and flood it with Hindus to control it entirely and secondly, it is to suppress the self liberation movements in the region, it stated. In short, the sole target is homogenisation by increasing the Hindu population, it alleged. With the conversion to Christianity by Hindus in Assam, Arunachal and Manipur, they are facing apprehensions, it added.
Looking from an angle of military warfare, India on its way towards achieving nuclear power status, aims to establish a permanent fortress in the northeast against the threats posed by China with is might, these facts are well known by the public, it further said.
Since India has realised that insurgency will continue to exist after around 60 years of battling with them, it has taken the decision that army will be kept forever, it said. On other hand, taking up measures for correcting the atrocities committed in the hands of Indian Army in the past, the Indian government has taken up many civic action programmes of the military along with construction of building and roadways with an attempt at winning the hearts and minds of the people, it further said. Yet many counter insurgency programmes are continued such as infiltration into the insurgent groups and creation of armed groups against revolutionary outfits, it added.
The counter such multi-pronged measures undertaken by the ‘Indian Occupation Force’ is been prepared by revolutionary outfits of the people including MPA etc, it informed. To push out Indian forces, who are safeguarding India’s colonies, is the most crucial target, it added.
On the occasion of MPA’s 32nd birth anniversary, UNLA, MAC sends its greetings of the revolution, to all the leaders of fraternal armed organisations and their soldiers, the release stated.
Lastly, UNLF, MAC gives it revolutionary salute to the martyred soldiers who laid their lives fighting for the war of self liberation and the deceased souls who were victims of oppression under Indian Army, it stated.
Also, the organisation further extends its highest respects to those who have been left injured and disabled by the Indian forces, the ones languishing in prisons, friends and all the sons of the soil, it added.
