Manipur is the first state to launch this campaign amongst the northeast states. The campaign was conceived in June 18 this year with an objective to make every woman digitally empowered and it has already been launched in six states of India.

So those who are technically incompetent will be difficult to survive in this modern world. With the advent of digital era, women are getting empowered as they can also do so many things, by just sitting at the home, which men usually do at one point of time, she stated.
Saying the negative side of digital technology, she said, “If we do not use internet safely and cautiously it will create lot of social issues in which women will be the victim at the end. So to prevent from all these impacts, every woman has to be equipped with digital knowledge.”

It aims to train around 60,000 women in India by covering seven states of the country namely Haryana, Delhi NCR, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim, he added.
