IMPHAL | Sept 13 : A team of police commandos, Imphal West arrested an active member of PLA organisation on September 12 during a house search operation conducted at the house of (Late) Ksh. Ibochou Singh of Top Khongnangkhong, said a release from PRO (Police).
The arrested individual who has been identified as Kshetrimayum Rupachandra alias Dilimu, 32, son of (Late) Ksh. Ibochou Singh of Top Khongnangkhong, was working under the command of one Monika alias Ichantombi of PLA organisation from Pongdongbam Sekta Imphal East, it said.
A mobile handset was seized from the possession of Rupachandra and a case has been registered at Porompat Police Station for further investigations, it added.
Meanwhile, on September 12, a team of police commandos, Imphal West arrested an active member of UNLF organisation namely Huidrom Kapil alias Mongyamba Singh, 32, son of H. Kalachand Singh of Singjamei Kongba Road during a cordon and search operation around the area of ISBT, Khuman Lampak.
Huidrom Kapil is said to hold the rank of sergeant in the UNLF organisation with Army number 2192 of 33Rd batch and was working under the command of second lieutenant of the organisation, Ibudhou, it said.
A case has been registered against Kapil at Imphal Police Station for further investigations, the release added.
Another release stated that on September 11, a team a team of police commandos, Imphal West arrested an active member of KCP (Noyon) organisation during a cordon and search operation conducted at the area of KombereiKeithel.
The arrested individual who has been identified as Khuraijam Robert Singh alias Bungobi, 28, son of (Late) Kh. Phullendro Singh of Komberei Keithel was working under the command of one Lemba of KCP (Noyon) organisation, it said.
Upon follow up actions, Waikhom Rutan Singh, 28, son of Waikhom Nabakumar Singh of Sekmaijing Thongjam was also arrested from Babubara near Job Centre. A mobile handset was seized from his possession and a case has been registered against him at Imphal Police Station for further investigations, it added.
