KSO finds Henglep division with poor infrastructure
CHURCHANDPUR | Jun 12 : A team of Kuki Student Organisation (KSO) and media with locals led by KSO Henglep Block president Mr.John Thanglal inspected Henglep sub-division of Churachandpur district.
Along the muddy road the team the team struggles to reach Henglep where different department and establishment are inspected. The mini stadium constructed under NEC funding was a disappointment with all round sub-standard work, which the caretaker said was the best in Henglep in terms of quality, with unwashed sand.
Next to the mini stadium there stood the government High school which the villagers complain of attending by many proxy teachers to teach the approximate 300 students.
The police station was also inspected. It was found with one police constable and three VDF personal
The PHC of Henglep was also found with no single staff.
Half of the 32 km road stretching from S.Kolhen village to Henglep known as ‘Thingkeu-henglep road’ are muddy and intolerably bad with the thought that villagers of the areas frequented and risk their life is no reason for a smile.
The waiting shed constructed at N.Saikot with alleged sanction of Rs.7 lakh was found randomly installed four posts; about 5 by 10 ft. in area, with paved floor and tin roof that easily can be judge as that which will hardly cost Rs.10, 000.
A portion of the newly constructed road in between Moldah to Kolhen village (about seven kilometres) was found with no quality as the earth comes out from the black topped road. The road is funded by NEC with a sum of Rs.14 crores.
The KSO appeals that the construction of the new road should be stopped and renovate the old road.
