Training for BJP workers held
IMPHAL | Apr 15 : A one day booth level training and training programme for BJP workers were held today at Wangkhei, Patsoi and Singjamei under Rashtriya Prashikshan Abhiyan (national training campaign).
Wangkhei BJP mandal president, Th. Nandakumar said strengthening the role of workers at the grass root level is important so that they can facilitate works and schemes taken up by the government in a proper way.
Another objective of the training is also to be able to produce a representative from Wangkhei assembly constituency for the upcoming general election, he noted.
Former BJP president, Haobam Borbabu, former minister, Y. Irabot and general secretary of administration K. Sarat also attended the training programme as presidium members at Wangkhei community hall.
Medallist of Wheelchair Fencing World Cup, Ningombam Gitajali, ten times national Wheelchair Fencing champion, Riaz Khan and Mr. India, Awaj Khan were felicitated by the dignitaries.
The booth level training held at Patsoi was attended by former president Shantikumar, Patsoi block president, Thingom Rajen, general secretary of administration, K. Sarat, general secretary N. Nimbus and national council member S. Sheitabhama among others.
General secretary, N. Nimbus said the training programme is to give clear knowledge about the establishment of the party, principles, ideology, challenges faced and delivery of government schemes. He also explained how the party is a ‘party with a difference’ with its commitment on nationalism and national integration.
Vice-president, Th. Basanta also stressed that BJP’s ideology is based on integral humanism. Born on April 6, 1980 BJP is the single largest political party of the world with 13 crores membership, he said, out of which Manipur has four lakh registered voters out of 17 lakhs.
He added that the main objective of this training programme for booth level workers should be delivery of government schemes, both central and state.
