K. Khomunom village celebrates its Silver Jubilee
CHURACHANDPUR | Apr 15 : Silver Jubilee of K. Khomunom village and the village church was celebrated today at the village’s church.
The function was attended as chief guest by Lok Sabha MP (Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency), Thangso Baite, while MLA TN Haokip and ADCC chairman, Khaipao Houkip attended as guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Thangso Baite lauded the effort and ability of village chief, Thangboi and said that the village is lucky as many other villages are not able to observe their silver jubilee. He continued that prior to 1990s, Churachandpur was a frontrunner in cleanliness but insecure settlement in the later years had brought issues in maintaining it. To bring peace and development everyone must act and trust each other, added Baite.
The chief guest also unveiled the silver jubilee stone while the guest of honour released the souvenir.
