Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson and newly appointed party in-charge of Manipur, Sambit Patra has sought cooperation from the people and other party members for a “better Manipur”.
Sambit arrived in Imphal on Wednesday following his appointment as in-charge Manipur BJP, while a two-day visit of national BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda has been rescheduled for December 13-14. Nadda was to visit Manipur on December 1-2 as a part of his 120-day tour of the country.
Sambit, addressing at a press conference held at the state BJP office in Imphal, said he was appointed in-charge of Manipur BJP in the effort “to move forward for a better Manipur”.
As a new in-charge for Manipur BJP, he seeks cooperation from the people and other party members for a better Manipur, Sambit said, adding that with the BJP-led government, Manipur has been upgraded towards development.
Pointing out the development brought by the BJP-led government, he mentioned the Look East Policy and Act East Policy. He said he interacted with state’s district president, morcha presidents and other workers.
Sambit also wished Chief Minister N Biren speedy recovery from COVID-19.
