Nagaland to launch Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme

The Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme of the Nagaland government will be launched on October 14 to provide free and cashless benefits to every bonafide citizen of the state for treatment of various ailments.

The Nagaland government department of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday informed that the state government will be launching the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) .

The CMHIS aim to provide free and cashless benefits to every bonafide citizen of the state for treatment of various ailments, the health department said.

The state's health insurance scheme will be launched at 11 am on October 14, 2022 at the State Banquet Hall, Chief Minister's Residential Complex in Kohima.

The department said that as the state embarks on the journey towards Universal Health Coverage, all AHoDs, HoD and government officials, representatives of Nagaland Pensioners Association, CANSSEA, NCSA, NSSA and other associations; civil societies, the church and faith based organizations and community leaders as well as former parliamentarians and former legislators have been invited to join the launching programme.
