The Echoes of Mercy of Churachandpur district bagged the Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021 title while GMP the Band of Imphal West and Not Funny from Kamjong stood first Runners Up and the second Runners Up respectively in the event.

The Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021 organised by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) is a music competition organised annually to generate HIV/AIDS Awareness among youth.

The winner of the Red Ribbon Manipur Idol 2021 will represent Manipur at the 3rd North East Multi-Media Campaign to be held in Shillong in February 2022.

The National AIDS Control AIDS Organisation (NACO) with an aim to spread HIV/AIDS awareness among youth in the North Eastern states has been organising a Multi-Media Campaign exclusively for the North Eastern states. (MMC)

It may be mentioned that bands representing Manipur had won the earlier two editions of North East Multi-Media Campaign held in Kohima, Nagaland and Imphal, Manipur in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Manipur Band The Wishes and the Innocent Eyes bagged the title of the 1st and the 2nd North East Multi Media Campaign held in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

As many as 10 bands, which were the winners of their respective districts in the district auditions held in Imphal on December 9 and December 10 at Kuki Inn, Imphal, competed in the state-level competition at YAC Ground, Yaiskul Imphal on Thursday.

The prizes consist of a cash award of Rs 40,000 to the winner, Rs 30,000 to first runners Up and Rs 20,000 to second runners up.
