A Paite language film titled The Revamped was released by Churachandpur assembly constituency MLA Lm Khaute at Simte Inn, Simveng in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.
Director of the film, Siampu Samte said that the theme and objective of the film is to incite a positive social change to the society. He mentioned that a plan for a sequel to the film has been underway. The income and profits of the film will be used to help the poor and needy, he added.
The event was attended by Churachandpur assembly constituency MLA Lm Khaute as the chief guest and former ADCC chairman Langkhanpau Guite as the chief host along with officials of ZOFIDA and the general public.

On the occasion, Lm Khaute extended positive feedback for the film and the director. Highlighting the importance of development of the film industry, he added that films are a powerful tool to showcase the culture, tradition and religion of Zomis.
Chief host Langkhanpau Guite wished for the success of ZOFIDA, the film and the production team. The film is produced by Zogam Film Development Association (ZOFIDA)
