‘Erolnungdagi’ bags Jury Special Mention Award at NEFVTA SFF 2022

Manipur filmmaker Rakesh Moirangthem’s short film Erolnungdagi (From the Dept) has bagged Jury Special Mention Award at the 1st NEFVTA SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, 2022 organised by the North East Film and Video Technician Association, Guwahati. 

The award was announced on Sunday, during the festival held at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio, Guwahati.  The short film won various national and international awards. 

The Dark Room studio production, directed and edited by Rakesh Moirangthem himself depicts the challenges and threats of extinction faced by small communities, which have their own culture and language, in today’s modern world.

Popularly known as Edhou, Rameshchandra plays the lead role in the film choreographed by SK Sharungbam.

Music of the film is composed by Tenao HD, the story is scripted by Somendro Moirangthem, and the screenplay by Jenish Salam.

GS Nanao is the film’s Production Controller and Shanti Raj is the Sound Designer and Production Manager.
