Entries invited for film criticism competition

Entries are invited for the Competition of Film Criticism 2022 for the Chidananda Dasgupta Memorial Award for Best Film Criticism.

The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), India on Thursday called for entries in the Competition of Film Criticism 2022 for the Chidananda Dasgupta Memorial Award for Best Film Criticism.

The FIPRESCI stated in a release that the Competition of Film Criticism 2022 for the Chidananda Dasgupta Memorial Award for Best Film Criticism carries Rs 6,000 for the best award and Rs 4,000 for the second-best award.

Entries winning the award and certificate of merit will be published in ‘E-Cine India’, the quarterly publication of the FIPRESCI India, it added.

It stated that one contestant can submit only one entry and there will not be any entry fee. “The write-up must be the critical analysis of any Indian feature film written in English with a maximum of 2000 words. Image is not required,” it read.

A self-declaration is required to confirm that the article is an original written by the contestant, it stated. The write-up must be free of plagiarism and should not be published anywhere before, it mentioned.

The full name, gender, age, address, email id, and mobile (WhatsApp) number of the contestant should be written below the self-declaration, it informed.

A soft copy of the PDF file should be mailed to FIPRESCI India at indiafipresci@gmail.com before October 10 of 2022, it added.
