India has decided to observe one-day State Mourning throughout the country as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday.

The Government of India has announced one-day State Mourning on September 11 throughout India as a mark of respect to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth II United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland passed away on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96, at Balmoral Castle surrounded by family members.

On the day of Mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half mast throughout India on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day, the Home Union Ministry said in a statement.
