North Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association elects new executives

Newly elected NEHUTA president Lakhon Kma outlined the need for correcting wrongs committed in the past.

North Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) a statutory body of teachers of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) on Tuesday concluded its election of office bearers in the presence of prominent faculty.

A release by NEHUTA, Shillong stated that the newly elected body comprises of prof Lakhon Kma as its president, prof DV Kumar as vice-president and Marbhador M Khymdeit as general secretary along with other office bearers.

After assuming charge, in a discussion about the future vision of NEHUTA, president Lakhon Kma outlined the need for correcting wrongs done to teachers and to pursue a path of growth for younger segments of teachers, it mentioned. The newly elected body decided to hold its first meeting soon to chart out its agenda, it added.
