Many parts of Meghalaya continue to reel under floods and landslides due to incessant rain impacting a large number of people. Reports said that at least 5 lakh people in the state are affected due to floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, AITC MLA Dikkanchi D Shira on Monday visited the flood-affected areas of Lukaichar and Kalaichar in the Mahendraganj constituency under South West Garo Hills.
Shira took stock of the ground situation and spoke to the flood-affected people with the direction of adequate government help.
The MLA maintained that AITC would stand with the distressed people amidst natural disasters, and would go on to provide every help possible for relief.
