The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) on Saturday clarified that one Ningchuilung Kamei, son of Chinguang Kamei of Khumji-3, who had joined the NSCN/GPRN as per a report published in a local daily, is not a cadre of ZUF.
The publication has confused the public, stated a release issued by ZUF information and publicity secretary KD Gangmei.
The said Ningchuilung Kamei was a cadre who along with Raitu Chawang and S Kamson had quit ZUF and joined NSCN-U group, it stated. The group themselves had declared that they shall not use the name ZUF anymore as it has ceased to exist for them as per their merger in agreement made on October 26, 2019, it added.
“It has been falsely propagated that others are also incoming to the fold of NSCN (I-M.) Such doubtful publications have confused the public to wrongly construe the fact. In reality, many cadres from other Naga factions are now realising the political rights and aspirations of the Zeliangrong political movement, making a U-turn and joining the only Zeliangrong political Front: Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF),” it added.
