In an effort towards advancing education in Manipur, Star Education hosted a ZEO Conclave on Wednesday at Hotel Classic Grande in Imphal.
The event showcased the organisation’s commitment to uplift education through the School Phagathansi Mission, supported by the Manipur government.
Addressing the media, Sunny Chingkham, the Policy and Partnership Director of Star Education, highlighted the organisation’s impactful journey of two and a half years.
He emphasised the pivotal role played by the chief minister and the Education minister in driving the initiative forward.
Star Education has successfully implemented its programs in 511 schools spread across all districts of Manipur, he said, noting that since its inception, enrollment in 252 government schools has seen a remarkable increase from 16,300 to 24,500 students.
This surge highlights growing trust and effectiveness in government school education, he added.
He maintained that the cornerstone of Star Education’s approach lies in equipping teachers with advanced teaching methodologies, including integrating the latest technology and AI into classroom instruction.
Additionally, the initiative has provided tablets and mobile devices to teachers, ensuring comprehensive lesson delivery and enhancing learning outcomes, he added.
