Speaking at the function as chief guest, MP RK Ranjan Singh said that protection of child rights is a fundamental need. Therefore, it is even enshrined in Indian Constitution as one of the most important provisions, he said. For effective implementation, the commission at national and state level is being opened up; however, it would not be possible to execute such rights and acts successfully without support and cooperation from society, he added.

The workshop inaugurated on Wednesday would be helpful in imparting the basic information about rights and acts guaranteed for children. Gaining of this knowledge by every section of society is highly necessary to keep the children safe and their rights protected, he added.

He further said that as the future of the nation depends on youth and children, the role of every citizen is highly essential in shaping and guiding the children in order to create a better society. Government alone cannot protect children from violation of rights and exploitations, he added.
